Earlier this year, a chunk of GTA 4’s songs and radio stations were removed. The good news is, they were readded with a huge patch yesterday. The bad news is, while the patch restored amazing stations like Vice City FM, it also corrupted many player’s saved games. Ouch.
Fortunately, a workaround was found, though hardly practical – players had to uninstall the game completely, then reinstall it and use Cloud saves (you have those on, right? You should.) then hope for the best.
Rockstar have acknowledged the issue and rolled back the update. They have confirmed that they will work on fixing the update then redeploy it, along with the songs and radio stations, as soon as they can.
I’ve recently jumped back into the streets of Liberty City as I get ready for announcements surrounding GTA 6. I forgot how great Niko is as a protagonist and how bloody annoying Roman is when you don’t want to go bowling. Let’s hope they make an appearance in the next instalment.
