Fallout Is Free On Steam Today

The original Fallout, released in 1997, is free on Steam today to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its launch.

Steam users have until 23:59 (US Pacific Time) to add it to their Steam library to keep forever.  Sadly, this special offer is only available for Windows PC gamers.

The good news is, most modern computers should have enough power to play Fallout; the system requirements are a Pentium 90Mhz CPU and at least 16MB RAM.  It won’t put a GTX 1080 through its paces, that’s for sure.

While we wait for any news on Fallout 5, this is a great time to go back to the roots of the Fallout franchise.  Head over to the Steam page now.

When you’re done, you can check out our list of 5 potential Fallout 5 locations.
