Bernie Sander’s Free Retro Platformer Looks Surprisingly Decent

It seems that presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has managed to put his dating sim game behind him and move onto bigger and better things: Super Bernie World.

The Super Mario World knock-off sees the senator travel across 11 states to liberate America from the Republicans.  Along the way, he gorges on copious amounts of Vermont cheese and takes advantage of a few of Mario’s powers.

Okay, so it’s a clear clone of an established, reskinned to take advantage of the current presidential elections.  It also looks surprisingly good fun and would scratch the retro-Mario itch, even if you have no interest in politics (like me).

You can get Super Bernie World for free on Steam and Itch.
